Delta Sigma Theta has been involved in political and social action from its origin. Through non-partisan efforts, Delta Sigma Theta focuses on educating individuals and the community. Baker-Zachary Alumnae provides voter registration and training to the community.

Locally, BZA places “Remember to Vote” signs before key elections as a reminder of the importance of voting.

In October 2018, BZA sponsored a Voter Education Forum. Board panelists emphasized the importance of voting and its impact on community issues and funding. Members of audience were also allowed to register to vote.
